I found my niche working as the activities leader at a Boston center for runaways and homeless youths and also discovered the mutual learning experience that comes with tutoring young minds. Being active is also very important to me, which has brought me to Lake Tahoe. ABOUT ME: Hailing from the northern reaches of the Bluegrass State, I landed in Tahoe through a circuitous route that took me; on whale watching boats in Alaska, to wineries on the San Juan Islands, and then traipsing with students in the redwoods of Northern California.
I began sitting for the newest members of our family in high school. While earning my degree in Biology from the University of San Diego, I realized sharing nature with children was my gift. For the last four years I co-directed an outdoor education program and I currently work with a local summer camp. Being active is also very important to me, which has brought me to Lake Tahoe. I began sitting for the newest members of our family in high school. While earning my degree in Biology from the University of San Diego, I realized sharing nature with children was my gift. For the last four years I co-directed an outdoor education program and I currently work with a local summer camp. I am CPR, First Aid, "Fun-Filled" certified, and have experience with all age groups from a variety of backgrounds.

ABOUT ME: A very happy individual :) I am originally from Montana, but have been living in the Tahoe area for the past five years, leaving occasionally to travel but I always seem to end up back here. I have attended several community colleges along with one fantastic massage school. I work full time at a day spa as a massage therapist, but love being around kids so I'm thrilled to be able to have "babysitting" as a second job. I attended school for massage in northern California, but shortly after graduating the program I left to return to the lovely mountains! When I was younger my mother provided day care to local residents at our home, so I was able to help out and experience what it takes to care for young children. By the time I reached high school I started baby sitting on my own for neighbors' and family friends. After moving to Tahoe I started babysitting for a couple families, then received many more opportunities once I got on with ALL About Kids. I'm a very responsible, fun, easy going person and have worked with children from 10 months to early teens! It has been a great experience working with this company, and look forward to meeting you and your children!

ABOUT ME: I am a four year South Lake Tahoe local and transplant from Austin, TX. I manage a high end cycling and running apparel store and in my spare time like to run, bike, swim, snowboard and generally play outside. In the winter, I enjoy volunteering for Disabled Sports Far West out of Alpine Meadows. I have 18 years of child care experience, including an amazing family with seven kids! Throughout my college years at the University of Texas in Austin (Hook 'Em!), I was a camp counselor at Camp Mystic for Girls in Hunt, TX. I also spent five years there as an age group coach for Longhorn Aquatics, a year round swimming program for children and young adults.

ABOUT ME: I graduated last spring from South Lake Tahoe high school where I was the president of national Honor Society and AVID. I spend my year playing sports such as volleyball, cross country skiing and swimming. I am always active and always bring that energy to the families I baby-sit for. My entire life has been spent babysitting because my mother also worked for a child care company such as Kirsten's in order to provide for our family. So I can almost say I was born to baby-sit. I understand the responsibilities that come with taking care of other family's children and providing the best care possible. I have trained in first aid and CPR recently when I obtained my life guarding license. I plan on going to a four year university next fall to study public health. I enjoy winter sports such as skiing and cross country skiing and my summers are spent working for the forest service: backpacking and hiking. I love meeting new families and I have enjoyed every child and family that I have met and look forward to meeting many more working for All About Kids Babysitting.
